The Lake Zoar Authority is a multi-town organization consisting of representatives from the four towns that border the lake - Monroe, Newtown, Oxford, and Southbury. The Lake Zoar Authority is tasked with the goals of improving water quality and promoting safe boating on the lake.

2018 Fall Draw Down

FirstLight, the owner and operator of the Stevenson Dam hydroelectric power station will perform the fall drawdown of Lake Zoar for 7 days beginning on November 9. Water levels will drop by 5′ to an elevation of 98′ and return to a normal elevation of 103′ on November 16th.
