PUBLIC NOTICE OF PUBLIC INFORMATION MEETING

The Department of Energy and Environmental Protection (DEEP) hereby gives notice that it will conduct a public information meeting under Section 15-134(c)(2) of the Connecticut General Statutes regarding an application submitted by Daniel O’ Donnell of 12 Bridge End Farm Lane, Sandy Hook, Connecticut for authorization to place a marked course for water skiing on the waters of the state. Specifically, the applicant proposes to place a marked course along the west shore of Lake Zoar in Newtown from May 1st to October 31st annually.

The meeting will be held on Tuesday, July 23, 2019, from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. in the Council Chamber at the Newtown Municipal Center at 3 Primrose Street, Newtown, Connecticut.

Interested persons may obtain a copy of the application by sending a request for an electronic copy to DEEP at [email protected] or such application may be viewed at DEEP Marine HQ located at 333 Ferry Road, Old Lyme, CT from 8:30 A.M. – 3:30 P.M. Monday through Friday. A map of the proposed waterskiing course location may be viewed on the DEEP Boating Web site at www.ct.gov/deep/boating .

All interested persons are invited to attend this public meeting and speak with the applicant and DEEP officials, and present their views concerning the proposed slalom course.  Interested parties may also express their views in writing no later than August 1, 2019.  Comments should be sent to R.
