Channel Closure Notification

Channel Closure Notification

“Due to a scheduling delay, TMC will be required to close the channel from May 11 to May 20. TMC may ope the channel during the weekend of May 14 as possible to accommodate the boating public if conditions allow. This updated request should result in no net increase of closure time. During this time, demolition operations will remove the concrete bridge deck on Bridge 01218 utilizing the Poseidon flexi-float as noted in the closure plan. If operations to remove the deck are completed prior to May 20, 2022, TMC will re-open the channel upon completion. Additional closure signage will be installed prior to the closure, and the DEEP Boating Division will be notified per the Closure Plan. The second closure for the girder removal on Bridge 01218 will be submitted under a separate cover when dates are confirmed.”
